An Update on Elysium

Okay folks it's been quite some time since I uploaded anything onto this blog and I wanted to give a brief explanation as to the reasons why.

The truth is I've found myself writing an original novel. It's been bubbling away for quite a while, but on May 17th this year I finally sat down and began writing it. Two and a half months later and I'm 13 chapters and 50,000 words into it.

The novel is going to be called "The Ghostwood Chronicles" and centres on a small northern village called Little Ashbury and the haunted woods that surround it.

Truth be told I am really enjoying writing it and it's been wonderful to create my own little world and characters. It's in the early stages and I'm only on draft one, but I'm looking forward to where this story and adventure may take me.

All of this brings me to the downside of writing "The Ghostwood Chronicles". It means that I haven't touched or even looked at anything from my Doctor Who series in months. Writing wise I'm partway through "A Town Called Freedom", but, unfortunately, I don't see it being finished any time soon. That's the bad news. The goods news is that I do intend to finish it eventually. When that will be, I can't say. I'm determined for me to tell me Future Worlds Doctor Who story and I want closure for the series, but I can't continue it until I've finished "Ghostwood", and that may take a few more months yet.

So I'm sorry it's not the greatest news for any of my readers, but rest assured that one day this story will get finished and to keep on checking back for more info.
